In Palm Beach County, there was an average of almost 1200 children in foster care daily over the last year.  Have you ever thought about fostering a child?  Maybe fostering is not for you, but there are others ways to help.  The average time that children in Palm Beach County spend in foster care is 1 year, with around 23% of these children still remaining in care for more than 2 years.  With children staying in care for this long, it is important that the community work together to provide care that goes beyond the necessities met by the state.  

Above and Beyond Care, Inc. is a charitable organization (501c3) founded with the vision of helping foster children meet their full potential through enrichment in arts, sports, academics, and personal care.  Although the state provides some financial support to foster parents, it is by no means enough to enrich these children’s lives while they are displaced from their families and homes.  Studies show that ALL children benefit from extracurricular activities.  These activities can enhance a child’s time management and stress management skills, in addition to providing fun with peers.  These exposures and experiences can enhance a foster child’s outlook for the rest of their lives.  Above and Beyond Care, Inc. is dedicated to identifying and recruiting community partners that will invest in foster children by providing donated services, flexible registration for children in foster care, and/or financial support.
